Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to our country, Saud Abdulaziz Mohammad Al-Shamlan Al-Roumi.

Ambassador Saud Abdulaziz Mohammad Al-Shamlan al-Roumi passed in front of the Guard of Honour.

Saud Abdulaziz Mohammad Al-Shamlan al-Roumi presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

After that, President Ilham Aliyev talked with the ambassador.

The head of state said that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait are successfully developing and are based on principles of friendship. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the two countries’ support for each other’s positions in all international organizations. The head of state said that there is great potential for the development of cooperation in the economic sphere. President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that during the diplomatic activity of Saud Abdulaziz Mohammad Al-Shamlan al-Roumi in our country, relations between the two countries will strengthen even further.

The ambassador conveyed greetings from the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Crown Prince of Kuwait to President Ilham Aliyev. The Kuwaiti diplomat congratulated the head of state on his re-election as President. He said that the head of his country attaches great importance to enhancing relations with Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Crown Prince of Kuwait and asked to convey his greetings to the head of the State of Kuwait and the Crown Prince of Kuwait.
