Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed Albanian ambassador to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to our country, Genji Muchay.

Ambassador Genji Muchay passed in front of the Guard of Honour.

Genji Muchay presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

After that, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev talked with the ambassador.

Ambassador Genji Muchay conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Albania Bujar Nishani and Prime Minister Edi Rama to our head of state. He noted the importance of relations existing between our peoples in expanding our cooperation. The Albanian diplomat stressed with pleasure that Azerbaijan’s positions in the world are strengthening under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Albania are successfully developing. Saying that our country is interested in expanding relations with Albania, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of joint energy projects of regional importance. The head of state stressed that there were good opportunities for the development of cooperation in other fields of the economy.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his thanks for the greetings from the President of the Republic of Albania Bujar Nishani and Prime Minister Edi Rama and asked to convey his greetings to the president and prime minister of Albania.
