Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador of Djibouti to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Djibouti to our country, Abdi Ibrahim Absieh.

Ambassador Abdi Ibrahim Absieh passed in front of the Guard of Honour.

Abdi Ibrahim Absieh presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev talked with the ambassador.

Diplomat Abdi Ibrahim Absieh conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh to the head of state. He noted that there were great opportunities for the development of cooperation between the two countries and stressed that he will make every effort in this direction.

The President said that the level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Djibouti is satisfactory. President Ilham Aliyev described the two countries’ support for each other's positions in various international organizations as a good indicator of cooperation.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Ismail Omar Guelleh and asked to convey his greetings to the President of Djibouti.
