During his official visit to Ukraine, President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the work done in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Kiev.
The park was opened on 25 April this year ahead of the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev visited the monument to the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, erected in the park and laid flowers in front of it.
The head of state took a walk in the park.
In the park, compositional elements that reflect the history and culture of Azerbaijan were made with high professionalism. Here, everything - from the lighting system to the copy of the unique Sheikh Safi carpet – was made to order in Ukraine, Italy, Germany and Azerbaijan. The building composition of the park is based on the models of Azerbaijan’s ancient symbols – Baku fortress walls, the emblem of the State of the Shirvanshahs and the Sheikh Safi carpet. The landscape composition of the park is supplemented with various elements of the geography and flora of our state.
During tree planting work in the new park, preference was mostly given to rare trees and plants typical of Azerbaijan flora.
