Dear Mr President,

I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of the former President of the Republic of South Africa, the great son of your people, outstanding statesman, hero of the struggle against apartheid and racism and Nobel Prize winner, Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela carried out great work to develop the Republic of South Africa, increase the welfare of his people and build a just society in the country. The good memory of Nelson Mandela will live forever in the memory of millions in his homeland and abroad.

In connection with this heavy loss, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I express my deepest condolences to you, to the bereaved family and to the people of South Africa.
