President Ilham Aliyev received the Governor of the Chinese Central Bank

 Ilham Aliyev received the Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Zhou Xiaochuan.

Stressing the successful development of relations between the two states, the President expressed his willingness to expand relations with China in all spheres. Having mentioned that despite the global financial crisis, Azerbaijan and China had demonstrated solid economic growth, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of exchange of views on joint initiatives in the field of economic cooperation. The President expressed confidence that the visit of the Governor of the Chinese Central Bank to Azerbaijan will outline new areas of cooperation between the two states and produce seminal results.

Zhou Xiaochuan stated that one of the main purposes of his visit was to learn the stance of President Ilham Aliyev on the international financial system reforms, to be discussed during the forthcoming meeting of G-20. Governor of the Chinese Central Bank, Zhou Xiaochuan expressed confidence that his visit to Azerbaijan would be productive.
