Distinguished guests,

Let me welcome you to Azerbaijan again. You are welcome!

Your visit is very important for the further development of fraternal and friendly relations between our countries and peoples.

We are bound by history and neighborly relations, and today as independent states we actively cooperate in all areas. We have briefly exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, and on bilateral and multilateral relations. I am sure that in the future we will expand the potential for the mutually beneficial cooperation. Georgia for us is a brotherly country, a close country, a neighbor, a partner, a friend, and I am sure that the future development of our relations will be very positive and dynamic.

We are united by many projects of both regional and global nature. Over the years, we have always shown a commitment to our shared goals, and we will work actively on their implementation in the coming years. I am confident that the visit will be very useful and interesting. As you said, you have not been to Azerbaijan in a long time and this visit will give a good impetus to the further development of our relations. So welcome again!

Speaking at the meeting, President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili said:

- Thank you very much, Mr. President!

Yes, this visit has a special meaning for us. We are excited about this personal relationship we are developing with our Azerbaijani colleagues. You correctly mentioned that our countries are creating a precedent of a special cooperation, creating the opportunities for exemplary cooperation, for the development of opportunities, not problems. During our meeting you rightly talked about the areas which we are developing together and which are already historic as they create historic opportunities for the nations in and outside our region. We create opportunities, we are building these opportunities together, and we are very pleased that this level of cooperation is seen as an evolving cooperation not only at the present time but also in the future, as it creates new projects and a new momentum in the region.
