Ilham Aliyev received the newly-appointed ambassador of Benin to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin to the country, Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa.

Ambassador Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa passed in front of the guard of honour.

Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev spoke with the ambassador.

Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa conveyed the greetings of Benin’s President Boni Yayi to the head of our state. He said that his country is interested in developing mutual partnerships with Azerbaijan in a number of fields, including in the areas of energy, science, education, etc. The ambassador said that during his diplomatic mission he will make every effort to strengthen ties between the two countries.

Stressing the importance of expanding bilateral relations between our countries, the head of state said that there are good opportunities for expanding ties.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Boni Yayi and asked to convey his greetings to the head of state of Benin.
