President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Commander of the Ground Forces of Turkey, Hulusi Akar.

The head of state noted that the visit by a delegation led by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Republic of Turkey, Hulusi Akar, to Azerbaijan confirms the high level of relations between the two countries in all areas, including the military sphere. Describing military cooperation as a part of the development of bilateral relations, President Ilham Aliyev said that important progress had been made in this area in recent years. The head of state stressed the importance of mutual exchanges of experience, joint exercises and the establishment of joint areas for further cooperation in this field.

The Commander of the Turkish Ground Forces, Hulusi Akar, said that he had first visited Azerbaijan in 1994 and recalled with great reverence his meeting with nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. Pointing to the fact that he has witnessed great changes in Baku in the intervening period, Hulusi Akar said that the rapid development of our country had made a great impression on him.
