President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to our country, Vitezslav Pivonka.

Ambassador Vitezslav Pivonka reviewed the guard of honor.

Then Vitezslav Pivonka presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The Ambassador conveyed greetings on behalf of Czech President Milos Zeman to the President of Azerbaijan. He said that the President of his country was pleased to recall the recent meeting with the President of Azerbaijan in Sochi. Vitezslav Pivonka assured the head of state that he would make every effort during his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan for the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of economy, energy, education, etc.

The President said there are good opportunities for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic. Recalling the meeting with President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of high-level meetings for the expansion of ties.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President Milos Zeman and asked the diplomat to communicate his greetings to the President of the Czech Republic.
