Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of Mirzabayli-Chukhur Gabala-Dizakhli-Charkhana highway after major overhaul

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of Mirzabayli-Chukhur Gabala-Dizakhli-Charkhana highway after major overhaul.

Successful work is being carried out to reconstruct the country`s road and transport infrastructure. In accordance with the instructions of the head of state, roads in the country's cities and regions are being repaired or revamped.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the official inauguration of the facility.

The head of state was informed about the technical and economic indicators of the highway. It was noted that the 14.2 km long facility was 6 metres in width and was a 4th degree technical road. Two bridges were built over the Garachay River on the road. Drainage systems and bus stations were built along the highway. The state-of-the-art facility links 8 residential areas, which considerably increases its importance easing the movement of local residents.

It was said that the road will play a profound role in the improvement of the transport communication in the district and the development of its economy and tourism.

Radical changes in the structure of the country's road and transport infrastructure have positively affected the regions too.

Streets and roads in the regions are being landscaped.
