President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received former Prime Minister of Italy, General Secretary of the Agency for Research and Legislation Enrico Letta.
Saying that he followed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s successful visit to Italy with great interest, Enrico Letta stressed the importance of the humanitarian projects carried out by Azerbaijan in Italy.
The head of state recalled with satisfaction his visit to Italy and the meetings held there. President Ilham Aliyev noted the significance of adoption of the Joint Declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries as part of the visit.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the importance of the International Humanitarian Forum to be held in Baku and stressed the significance of the Forum in terms of strengthening the cooperation among countries.
The parties also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
