Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new bus station in Dashkasan

President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of a new bus station complex in Dashkasan.

One of the important targets of the policy pursued by the Azerbaijani President is to modernize the road-transport system in the country. The newly established bus stations played a special role in this process. One of the new and modern bus stations has been built in Dashkasan District. The new facility meets modern standards.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the bus station.

The head of state was informed that the bus station, which was built in a modern architectural style, covers a total area of 500 square meters. The construction of the one-hectare bus station complex started in March, 2013, and ended this October.

It was noted that necessary conditions have been created in the building of the facility for passengers` rest. There are photo stands reflecting the multifaceted work of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to develop transport system in our country.

All conditions were created in a waiting room of the station. The facility has a mother-and-child room and a dispatcher room. A left-luggage office was established in the complex.

The work done in Dashkasan in recent years has contributed to increasing the flow of tourists to the district. The construction of the new bus station will ensure the comfort of tourists.

The head of state gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
