President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of a new block of secondary school No. 4 in Ganja.
President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the block.
The head of state and his wife were informed of the work done here. The school was built in 1936. The 930-seat building of the school was overhauled in 2012. The new 960-seat block was built this year in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s instructions. High-quality construction work was carried out here. There are 48 classrooms, four labs, three information and computer rooms, a canteen, and a medical room here.
It was noted that all classrooms and offices of the school meet modern standards. The school is fitted with necessary equipment and teaching aids. The gym is well-suited for hosting mini football, basketball and volleyball tournaments. Modern lighting and air conditioning system was installed in the school. The area of the facility was landscaped.
It was said that the school will handle more than 2,150 pupils in the new academic year.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the conditions created at the new block of the school, and gave his instructions and recommendations.
