Ilham Aliyev watched the premier of “Intizar” opera in new staging

The premier of “Intizar” opera in new staging, composed by people’s artist Firagiz Alizade was put on stage at Heydar Aliyev Palace as part of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s international music project. President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva watched the premier.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented its new International music project – the new-stage premier of “Intizar” opera, composed by one of the greatest composers of modern Azerbaijan school of compositors, Firangiz Alizade.

Artistic director of “Uns” creative theatre and member of the Azerbaijani Writers Union, Professor Nargiz Pashayeva, is the author of the opera’s libretto.

An international artistic group prepared the new stage of the opera. Among the cast and crew were producer Dmitry Bertman, artistic director of Moscow’s “Helikon-Opera” and people’s artist of Russia, as well as stage designer Harmut Schorghofer, conductor Vladimir Ponkin, choreographer Edvald Smirnov, and choirmaster People’s Artist Gulbaji Imanova.
