Ilham Aliyev had an expanded meeting with President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has had an expanded meeting with the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang.
The heads of state made speeches at the meeting.
President Ilham Aliyev said:

Distinguished members of the delegation.
Let me heartily welcome you to Azerbaijan once again. We have just held a meeting in a narrow format and discussed important issues of strategic cooperation between our countries. Now we will continue our dialogue together with all the members of the delegation.
We attach great importance to your, Mr. President, visit to our country. Vietnam for us is a friendly country, and the relations between our countries are developing very successfully. Of course, I will always remember my visit to your country last year.
The negotiations and decisions we made have ensured the successful development of our relations. We have very good prospects for strengthening our political dialogue, cooperation in the economic and energy sectors. Also, humanitarian cooperation is an integral part of the format of our relations. I am confident that the results of the visit will be very successful and will lay an even more solid basis for strengthening our ties. I welcome you, Mr. President, and all members of your delegation again.
