Ilham Aliyev attended a ceremony to pump drinking water to Goychay city

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended a ceremony to start the supply of drinking water to the city of Goychay.

The head of state viewed the stands reflecting the master plan of the project to reconstruct the water supply and sewage system of Goychay.

Chairman of Azersu Gorkhmaz Huseynov informed President Ilham Aliyev that the project aimed to improve water supply and sewerage system for 43,000 residents of the city of Goychay.

The implementation of the project started in 2008, and will be completed in 2016.

The project saw the construction of a 123 km long sewage system in the city. It will also include the construction of a waste water cleaning facility with the daily capacity of 20,000 cubic meters.

After reviewing the project, President Ilham Aliyev launched the installation to start the supply of drinking water to the city of Goychay.
