President Ilham Aliyev has received an Albanian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edmond Haxhinasto.
Edmond Haxhinasto communicated to the head of the Azerbaijani state greetings from Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Stressing that he was deeply impressed with the extensive creative work under way in our country, he described the processes of dynamic development in Azerbaijan as evidence of the fact that the republic was on the right track. The Minister indicated that there are extensive opportunities for the development of comprehensive relations between Albania and Azerbaijan. Edmond Haxhinasto added that the political relations between Azerbaijan and Albania could facilitate further expansion of relations both in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations. Stressing that Albania and Azerbaijan would continue supporting each other, the visiting Minister pointed to favorable opportunities for the development of economic relations as well.
Noting that the two countries have good relations, President Ilham Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan is interested in developing bilateral relations with Albania. Recalling meetings with senior officials from Albania with great pleasure, the President pointed to friendly relations with the President of Albania. Indicating that there is an active dialogue between Azerbaijan and Albania, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of mutual support between the two countries and the establishment of lasting cooperation. The President expressed confidence that the visit by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Edmond Haxhinasto to Azerbaijan would contribute a lot to the discussions with Azerbaijani counterparts of further plans for the development of bilateral cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings of Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and asked to communicate his greetings to the Albanian Prime Minister.
