President Ilham Aliyev received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Azerbaijan, Luc Trojen.
The Ambassador passed along the guard of honor.
Ambassador Luc Trojen presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then, President of Azerbaijan held a conversation with the Ambassador.
President highlighted the successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Belgium, saying that new cooperation opportunities existed in economic field. He expressed hope in establishment of more active economic ties in the coming years. President Ilham Aliyev said he was assured that the ambassador would contribute to development of bilateral ties.
Diplomat Luc Trojen conveyed the greetings of Belgium King II Albert to the President. The Ambassador said opportunities existed for further deepening of bilateral relations, which rest on mutually effective cooperation.
The Azerbaijani President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of King II Albert and asked his greetings to be delivered to the Belgium head of state in return.
