Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Azerbaijan

Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Azerbaijan, Milan Jazbec.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Milan Jazbec presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then President Ilham Aliyev spoke with the Ambassador.

The President expressed hope that the relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia would continue to develop during the term in office of Ambassador Milan Jazbec. Pointing to excellent personal relations at the level of heads of state, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of mutual high-level visits in the development of bilateral relations. Indicating that Slovenia is a friendly and partner state for Azerbaijan, the head of state pointed to a solid foundation for the development of relations, saying that the level of our relations is gratifying.

Ambassador Milan Jazbec conveyed to the head of state greetings from President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Turk. He pointed to the importance of good personal relations between the head of the Slovenian state and President Ilham Aliyev for the development of relations between the two countries. Milan Jazbec assured the President that he would make every effort for a further development of bilateral relations during his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Turk and asked to pass on his greeting to the head of the Slovenian state.
