Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador of Argentina to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to Azerbaijan, Armando Juan Jose Maffei.

The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.

Ambassador Armando Juan Jose Maffei presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Then President Ilham Aliyev spoke with the Ambassador.

Ambassador Armando Juan Jose Maffei recalled visiting Azerbaijan as part of an Argentine delegation and conducting fruitful discussions in relation to the private sector during that visit. The diplomat noted that the ambitious creative work under way in Azerbaijan, which he was witnessing on his current visit, had made a great impression on him. Stressing the importance of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Argentina, Armando Juan Jose Maffei expressed hope that a diplomatic mission of his country would be established in Azerbaijan next year.

President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the development processes in Azerbaijan were progressing rapidly and covering all areas. Pointing to a stable financial and political system in Azerbaijan, the President noted that our country was playing an active role in the international system of economic cooperation. He also pointed to great potential for the expansion of ties with Argentina.
