President Ilham Aliyev received former UNESCO Director General Koïchiro Matsuura.
Emphasizing the importance of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, the President said Baku has transformed into an arena, where international prestigious events are being held. President Ilham Aliyev recalled his meetings with former UNESCO Director General Koïchiro Matsuura and their joint celebration of the Novruz Holiday in Baku, highlighting the importance of his participation at the Forum.
Having expressed his gratitude for the invitation to attend the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, Koïchiro Matsuura noted the significance of the Forum for enhancing the intercultural cooperation. Koïchiro Matsuura said he recalled the celebration of the Novruz Holiday in 2009 in Baku with content and added that these festivities made a huge impression on him.
