Ilham Aliyev and Macedonian President Georgy Ivanov met in Istanbul.
The sides stressed the successful development of ties between Azerbaijan and Macedonia in different spheres. Highlighting some similarities between the two countries, the Presidents mentioned the benefits of cooperation in the sphere of economy, tourism and other spheres, and expedience of developing ties.
The Macedonian president spoke of the intention of his country to cooperate with Azerbaijan in energy sector.
During the meeting, it was also noted that the two countries support each other in some specific issues.
