President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Imishli-Garavalili-Mirili road after reconstruction.
The head of state was informed of the technical and economic parameters of the road. It was indicated that this 12-km road was unserviceable before. Following a resolution of President Ilham Aliyev, major overhaul of the Imishli-Garavalili-Mirili road, which links seven residential settlements with a total population of 42,000 people, began at the end of last year.
The road was reconstructed in accordance with modern requirements and landscaping and amenity planting activities carried out along it.
The road has been built in line with international standards. All the obstructions that had been hampering the movement of cars and trucks and causing inconvenience to people have now been eliminated. Besides, the commissioning of the road has reduced the distance between Imishli and Saatli Districts in half.
The head of state cut the ribbon marking the opening of the road and expressed his satisfaction with the work done.
