President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of a new park in front of Baku Convention Center.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the inauguration of the park.

Designed by well-known Austrian architect Jans Hoffman, the park occupies a total area of 7 hectares. More than 300 trees, 50,000 flowers and bushes were planted in the park. It features four recreation zones, including sports and children`s areas. A fountain and artificial lakes were created here. There is also a skating rink, which occupies an area of 2,130 square metres and will be operational in all seasons.
