Azerbaijan has claimed two golds, one silver and one bronze on the second day of freestyle wrestling at the Baku 2017 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev, first lady, Chair of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organising Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and family members watched the final bouts.

Haji Aliyev took a gold medal in the men's 61kg division. He secured the medal thanks to a 10-0 victory over Kyrgyz Alibek Osmonov.

Iranian Masoud Esmaeilpoorjouybari and Pakistani Abdul Wahab scooped bronze medals.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev presented the medals to the wrestlers.

The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the flag was raised in honor of Haji Aliyev.

Jamaladdin Maqomedov beat Kazakh Daulet Shabanbay 12-8 to claim gold in the men`s 125kg weight category. Turkish Salim Ercan and Iranian Jaber Sadeghzadeh captured bronze medals.

First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chair of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games Organising Committee, President of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehriban Aliyeva presented the medals to the winners.

Murtuzali Muslumov (70kg) clinched a silver medal after losing to Iranian Mostafa Hosseinkhani. Bahraini Adam Batirov and Turkish Zafer Dama grabbed bronze medals.

Sharif Sharifov (86kg) became a bronze medallist after beating Tajik Bakhodur Kodirov. Iranian Hassan Yazdanicharati won a gold medal, Turkish Selim Yasar ranked second, while Kazakh Adilet Davlumbayev took another bronze.

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers ranked first in the overall medal table of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.
