After a face-to-face meeting, negotiations of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Türk were held in an expanded format with the participation of delegations.

It was stressed during the meeting that bilateral relations in the political, economic and other spheres were successfully developing. The sides pointed to the existence of a good potential for the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia.

The heads of state also touched upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

The sides pointed to the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia from the standpoint of expansion of relations within the European Union and underlined the significance of the Eastern Partnership program.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations.
