Esteemed Prime Minister, my dear brother,

I congratulate You sincerely on decisive victory of the Justice and Development Party, led by you, at the elections conducted on June 12, 2011 to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. There is no doubt that this victory grows out of the work, carried out by You for years of your tenure, an appreciation given by the people to Your activity.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were built on deep historical roots and are relations of strategic partnership.

These many-sided relations amplify and develop every year in political, economic, energy, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. Permanent mutual support of our countries on international arena represents great value and arouses great satisfaction.

I believe that relations of friendship, brotherhood and strategic partnership of Azerbaijan and Turkey will further extend and deepen for the welfare of our peoples. Availing myself of this opportunity, I invite You to visit Azerbaijan at any time convenient for You for joint consideration and the further development of our future possibilities of cooperation.

Esteemed Prime Minister, dear brother, once again I congratulate You, and wish You strong health and new achievements, and the friendly and fraternal people of Turkey – constant well-being and progress.

With deep respect,

Ilham Aliyev,
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
