Ilham Aliyev reviewed the new enterprises established in the Sumgayit Technological Park

President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the new enterprises established in the Sumgayit Technological Park.

First the head of state visited the high-voltage electrical equipment plant.

The president of the AzerEnergy Open Joint-Stock Company, Etibar Pirverdiyev, informed the head of state that the plant was fitted with equipment from the world’s most developed countries. The enterprise mainly operates Finnish, German and Turkish bending and laser cutting machines. New commodities are tested in a special US laboratory.

It was indicated that the plant has several shops and produces cubicles for high-voltage smart-card electric meters and electrical equipment of 6 and 10 kilovolts. The process is based on a technology of French company Schneider Electric, which is noted for a modern approach. Production of electrical equipment and power transformers of 35 and 110 kilovolts is to start shortly.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that there was a demand for the ventilation pipes produced by the plant both in the republic and in foreign countries. D100-1250 mm aluminum and zinc-coated steel pipes are produced here. The entire process is noted for perfection.

The latest scientific and technological achievements are applied in the production of solar panels and boilers. The manufacturing process at the Sumgayit Technological Park is based on the highest standards. It is therefore no coincidence that most people working here are highly qualified specialists with higher education. In addition, enterprise employees receive special training in Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Turkey and other developed countries.

The head of state was shown ultrasonic soldering and other modern equipment.

It was mentioned that the solar panels produced here can heat the water to 80-100 degrees. Another distinctive feature of this product is that even in cloudy weather ultraviolet rays are used with an efficiency of up to 95 per cent and converted into electricity. Boilers are corrosion-resistant and meet all safety standards.

President Ilham Aliyev was shown the capabilities of the solar panels and boilers installed in the Sumgayit Technological Park.

Then the head of state was taken on a bus tour of the plant and provided with detailed information about other enterprises and future projects.

It was mentioned that different competitive products of the Sumgayit Technological Park had already been demonstrated in a number of international exhibitions. Along with the domestic demand, there is an increasing demand for these products in foreign markets.

Then President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the conventional galvanizing plant.

It was indicated that the plant was a production unit that had no analogues in the republic and elsewhere in the region.

The technology used at the plant, which produces 40,000 tons of products a year, ensures highly efficient and environmentally friendly process.

The stage-by-stage process runs in an automatic mode using a tailor-made program. The productivity of the galvanizing furnace is 20 tons an hour. The application of state-of-the-art technologies guarantees high quality and reliability of the product. Galvanization leads to the appearance of a 60-100-micron zinc coating on the surface of metal or steel, which prolongs its service life by at least 100 years.

It was indicated that along with primary zinc-coating of metal and steel, repeated zinc-coating was conducted at the Sumgayit Technological Park as well.

After examining the operation of new enterprises in the Sumgayit Technological Park, President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions and recommendations, and wished the staff success.
