Ilham Aliyev received the outgoing Ambassador of Romania to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has received the outgoing Ambassador of Romania to Azerbaijan, Nicolae Ureche.

Speaking about the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, Ambassador Nicolae Ureche stressed the importance of the Joint Action Plan on strategic partnership signed between the Presidents of the two countries. The Romanian diplomat indicated that the relations of friendship between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Romanian President Traian Basescu were playing an important part in the development of bilateral relations. Ambassador Nicolae Ureche thanked the Government of Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev personally for the good conditions he has enjoyed in the country.

President Ilham Aliyev said the relations between Azerbaijan and Romania were rapidly developing and stressed the importance of mutual high-level visits for the development of bilateral relations. President Ilham Aliyev gave a high assessment to the contribution Ambassador Nicolae Ureche has made to the development of these ties, emphasizing his activities within the framework of the European Union-Azerbaijan cooperation. Underlining the importance of the document on strategic cooperation signed between presidents of the two countries, President Ilham Aliyev said bilateral relations were based on a mutual interest.

The head of state wished the Ambassador success in his future activities.
