As part of a visit to Gobustan District, President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the seedling center of “Kafur-pas” LLC.

The head of state was informed that the trees and shrubs planted in different parts of Azerbaijan are usually imported from foreign countries. The seedling center established in Gobustan provides a more economical solution to the issue. The area selected for the rehabilitation of trees and bushes and for the cultivation of decorative shrubs is equipped with all the necessary conditions. A water line has been laid to the seedling center from a source 3 km away. There is an automatic irrigation system. In addition to the sowing area, there are tower gates and a water reservoir at the center. A four-storey environmental safety center is under construction above the open water reservoir. There is an office building and recreation places on the premises. The two artificial lakes have fish and waterfowl. Local roads have been asphalted to enable comfortable driving. The trees and flower shrubs have been planted with good taste and create a pleasant impression. Over 20,000 trees and decorative shrubs of 70 denominations have been planted at the center.

The head of state toured the center in an electric vehicle.

It was indicated that botany, zoology and sport clubs would be established here in the future. The center employs a total of 53 people. Kyrgyz yurts made of camel hair are also installed at the center. The yurt columns are made of the trunks of 99 pine-trees. People visiting the center may have a rest there. The center is expected to operate as the “Gobustan Bag-Bagat” center in the future. In addition to ordering different types of trees at the center, visitors can also have family rest here.

The head of state then reviewed the center’s exhibition of plants, expressed his satisfaction with the work done and gave appropriate instructions and recommendations.
