Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Guba-Gachrash-Gimilgazma road

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Guba-Gachrash-Gimilgazma road.

The head of state was informed that the settlements adjacent to the 22 km long and 7 meters wide local road Guba-Gachrash-Gimilgazma have a population of 26,000 people. This road was in need of repair due to the long operation. During the reconstruction, the lower layer of the road was covered with a 7 cm and the upper layer with a 5 cm double asphalt. A water piping installation has been installed to drain rainwater, while narrow sections of the road have been expanded. Appropriate signs have also been installed.

It was indicated that the improvement of Azerbaijan’s road transport system, the construction of new bridges and flyovers, the laying of trunk roads, being measures of social nature, also open up opportunities in terms of demonstrating the country’s economic power. The activities carried out in accordance with the President’s instructions and aiming to improve the road transport infrastructure in districts are complemented by more measures.

President Ilham Aliyev talked to the villagers. Congratulating them on the occasion of the opening of the road, the President stressed the importance of this road to the development of Guba as it will facilitate people’s travel. He said the country is paying special attention to the construction and reconstruction of all roads and highways, including rural roads. President Ilham Aliyev also noted that Guba is developing, becoming even more beautiful and improving, and this process will be continued in the future.

Resident of the Gachrash village Hazratali Khammadov described the reconstruction of this road as an important step towards improving the social situation and thanked the President on behalf of all villagers.
