President Ilham Aliyev has received the director of the Physical Biology Center at the California Institute of Technology, the winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry, Professor of Chemistry and Physics Ahmed Zewail.
The winner of the Nobel Prize, Professor Ahmed Zewail said he was pleased to come to Azerbaijan. Touching upon the importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, he gave a high assessment to the remarks by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in particular the thoughts pertaining to science and education. He said he was witnessing comprehensive development in our country.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked the guest for participating in the Baku International Humanitarian Forum and highlighted the importance of such events from the standpoint of international cooperation and mutual understanding. Saying that the task of developing Azerbaijan as a modern country had been set, the head of state indicated that this was possible through the development of science and education.
