The Chief-of-Staff of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Mehdiyev, has met with the director of the Physical Biology Center at the California Institute of Technology, the winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry, Professor of Chemistry and Physics Ahmed Zewail.
The winner of the Nobel Prize, Professor Ahmed Zewail said he was pleased to come to Azerbaijan. Touching upon the importance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, he gave a high assessment to the remarks by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in particular the thoughts pertaining to science and education. He said he was very impressed with the development processes ongoing in Azerbaijan.
The Chief-of-Staff of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Mehdiyev, thanked the scientist for participating in the Baku International Humanitarian Forum and highlighted the importance of such events from the standpoint of international cooperation and mutual understanding. Speaking about Azerbaijan’s achievements in the 20 years of independence, Ramiz Mehdiyev described the state care and attention being paid to the development of science and education.
