Ilham Aliyev visited a statue of great leader Heydar Aliyev in Agdash

President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Agdash District.

First the head of state visited a statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the town and laid flowers at it.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the reconstruction carried out at the memorial. It was indicated that landscaping and planting work has been carried out at the complex covering an area of 7 hectares. The state flag with a 30-meter flagpole has been set up, state attributes engraved on marble slabs and architectural elements reflecting our historical past created. The fountains have a modern design and add a special beauty to the memorial.

The reconstruction has also changed the appearance of the Heydar Aliyev Center located in the complex. The center is attractive both in terms of finishing and architecture.

It was noted that the center was reconstructed in 2011 and houses a museum. Nine sections of the museum demonstrate over 200 exhibits reflecting the life and multifaceted activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

The exhibits show the nationwide leader’s great foresight and wisdom back in the Soviet time when he laid the foundation for the future independence of Azerbaijan. Great leader Heydar Aliyev has put modern and independent Azerbaijan on the path of rapid development.

The Heydar Aliyev Center also has an electronic library, an ideological center, various talent clubs for children and youths.
