Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Ujar city children’s hospital after reconstruction

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Ujar city children’s hospital after reconstruction.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hospital.

It was indicated that the children’s hospital built in 1990 has become dilapidated over years, which is why major overhaul was started here in August 2010. Planting activities have been carried out in the courtyard of the three-storey hospital building and decorative trees and flower bushes planted. The road leading to the hospital has been paved and a modern lighting system installed. There is a bust of great leader Heydar Aliyev on the first floor of the hospital. There are photo stands reflecting the care and attention of the nationwide leader, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for the development of healthcare in the country.

It was noted that there is a conference room, reception and outpatient departments on the first floor, a surgical unit for 10 patients, one-, two- and three-bed wards and the operating theater on the second. The third floor will have an intensive care unit for four patients and a pediatric department for 20. The hospital is fitted has modern diagnosing and treatment equipment.

It is envisaged that the children's hospital for 44 patients will have a staff of 90 people. The 40-seat conference hall on the first floor of the hospital can conduct activities of regional and national importance.

Then President Ilham Aliyev visited the outpatient clinic of the Ujar central district hospital after reconstruction.

It was indicated that the two-storey building of the outpatient clinic, which is part of the Ujar central district hospital currently under construction, has been completely renovated. There is a laboratory, gynecological, dermatological and venereal rooms and technical facilities on the first floor. Precinct doctors will also be working here. The second floor of the clinic has a bandaging room, a laboratory, an X-ray room, physiotherapy, ultrasound, electrocardiography, electroencephalography, dentistry and ophthalmology rooms.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev examined the master plan of the Ujar central district hospital currently under construction.

The head of state reviewed the photos depicting the previous state of the hospital. President Aliyev was informed that the old building constructed in 1970 had never been renovated and was no longer usable. A land plot of 4.4 hectares was allocated for the construction. The new hospital consisting of four two-storey buildings will be built on an area of 1.2 hectares.

The hospital has a separate building for the ambulance station. Also nearby is the children's hospital, as well as a local department of pathological anatomy and examination. In general, the hospital will employ a staff of 350 people.

President Ilham Aliyev gave appropriate recommendations and instructions.
