Ilham Aliyev received the credentials from a newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials from the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan, Ambassador to Azerbaijan Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli.

Ambassador Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli inspected the guard of honor.

Then Ambassador to Azerbaijan Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.

The President noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE have a long history and are developing successfully. President Aliyev stressed that our countries cooperate on a high level both in the bilateral format and within international organizations. The President said that Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with the UAE in all the fields, including political, economic, etc. President Aliyev was pleased to remember his visit to the United Arab Emirates and the meetings held there. Expressing his satisfaction at the launch of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Azerbaijan, President Aliyev said that it would create good opportunities for further cooperation.

Ambassador Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli communicated greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice-President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli expressed his satisfaction with the start of his mission as the first Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan.

The President of Azerbaijan thanked the Ambassador for the greetings from the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice-President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and asked the diplomat to communicate his greetings to the President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emir of Dubai and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
