Ilham Aliyev received Latvian Economy Minister Daniels Pavluts

President Ilham Aliyev has received Latvian Economy Minister Daniels Pavluts.

Minister Daniels Pavluts said he was pleased to come to Azerbaijan as the first representative of Latvia’s new government.

He said the new government he represented was interested in further developing the cooperation with Azerbaijan. Indicating that the relations between the two countries were at a good level in recent years, the Latvian minister stressed the importance of reciprocal high-level visits for the expansion of cooperation.

The President of Azerbaijan said he was also interested in developing the cooperation with Latvia. Indicating that the successful mutual visits of the two Presidents had produced good results, President Aliyev said bilateral relations had been developing in a dynamic manner in recent years. The President said that a number of investment projects were currently under consideration in an effort to expand cooperation in specific spheres, in particular the sector of trade, and expressed hope that Azerbaijan would cooperate successfully with Latvia’s new government.
