President Ilham Aliyev reviewed a stand where glucose, core, bran, gluten and other finished products are demonstrated and the process of fruit-sugar production described.

Then the head of state launched the enterprise.

It was noted that the company operates Turkish, US, German and Italian equipment. Besides the production facility, there are two granaries with a capacity of 500 tons each and other auxiliary buildings. The construction of two other granaries with a capacity of 5,000 tons each has started. The daily processing capacity of the enterprise is 80 tons of corn, which enables the production of 55 tons of high-quality glucose and about 20 tons of various feeds. A total of 153 people have jobs at the enterprise.

It was indicated that this is the first such enterprise to be built in the South Caucasus. At the initial stage, the company intends to produce glucose, and then fructose and dextrose. These products will be used mainly in the production of confectionery, canned goods, dairy products, ice cream and lemonade. The implementation of this project will facilitate crop production in the country, including the production of corn, and stop the imports of corn processing products. The enterprise has all the opportunities to meet the country’s needs for high-quality glucose and is of particular importance as a supplier of protein, gluten, bran and other products. The waste generated in the process of production will be sold to livestock breeders as feed.

It was indicated that raw materials will be provided by domestic producers too. Talks are under way with farmers from Zagatala, Shaki, Gakh and Oguz Districts to this effect. After an adequate resource base is formed in the future, the plan is to increase the processing capacity of the enterprise from 80 to 200 tons per day.

After reviewing the enterprise, President Ilham Aliyev wished the staff success and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
