Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the El Resort hotel in Gakh

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the El Resort hotel in Gakh.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hotel.

It was mentioned that the construction of modern tourist facilities not only in Baku but also in the districts is explained by the great interest in Azerbaijan. These opportunities are opened up by the favorable investment environmental created in the country for both local and foreign businesses. The development of tourism facilitates the expansion of the hotel business.

Great attention is paid to the development of the tourism potential in Gakh District as well. The opening of the new El Resort hotel is very important from this point.

During familiarization with the hotel, President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the three-storey complex covers an area of 2.7 hectares. The hotel, with a total area of ,3660 square meters, consists of suites and VIP rooms, a 120-seat cafeteria, a 60-seat café-bar, game rooms and cinemas. Local guests can use the services of Turkish and Chinese baths, a large swimming pool, a spring and summer terrace, and a universal playground. Hotel rooms meet the highest international standards. The centralized computer system covers all rooms and the cafeteria. The entire infrastructure of the hotel, including heating, ventilation, electricity, communications and fire safety, meets contemporary requirements.

The head of state examined a stand reflecting the future conference center currently under construction. The two-storey conference center will have three rooms and provide the opportunity to hold several activities at a time. The construction will be completed in March 2012.

Giving a high assessment to the work under way at the hotel, President Ilham Aliyev wished the staff every success.
