Ilham Aliyev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gakh

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gakh District.

During familiarization with project sketches, President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the Heydar Aliyev Center would be built on an area of about one hectare. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2012. The main building with an area of about 2,000 square meters will have a large conference room, explication halls, classrooms and a small conference hall. In accordance with the project, the engineering and communication system of the Center will also meet the latest standards. Landscaping and planting work will be carried out around the Center.

It was noted that the Center will have a photo stand reflecting the life and activities of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, his visits to foreign countries and Azerbaijani districts. It will also have clubs on foreign languages and drawing, as well as ancillary rooms fitted with modern equipment. The Center will provide lessons on the literature and history of Azerbaijan.

Then the foundation of the Heydar Aliyev Center was laid.

President Ilham Aliyev lowered a metal capsule into the foundation and launched the grouting facility.

The head of state provided his instructions and recommendations on the construction of the Center at a high level.
