As part of a visit to Shaki, President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Green Hill Inn hotel.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hotel.
It was indicated that the total area of the five-storey tourism facility is 1.2 hectares, while the hotel and cottages cover an area of 5,000 square meters. Along with the hotel building there are auxiliary structures, as well as large and small swimming pools. The area outside the hotel has been landscaped, extensive reconstruction carried out and a green area established.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the stand describing the work to be carried out in the hotel and enjoyed the view of the city from the hotel’s top floor. The President was also briefed on the extensive landscaping and improvement work under way in Shaki.
It was noted that four floors of the hotel have apartments. There are four one-room, 12 two-room, eight three-room and three four-room apartments here. There are 18 rooms on the fifth floor of the hotel. All the rooms are fitted with sophisticated ICT equipment, including the Internet. The building has high-speed elevators.
It was mentioned that the hotel complex has a modern ventilation system. Also available are cottage-type recreation and entertainment facilities, a SPA-center, a fitness center, a cafeteria and lounges. The hotel complex has a staff of 200 people.
In addition to attesting to Shaki’s tourism potential, the Green Hill Inn hotel also demonstrates the opportunities of this entire region. The conditions available here show that the key objective of tourism in the present-day world is to contribute to the all-round economic development. The fact that tourism has developed into an important component of the national economy in recent years and that a solid foundation has been laid for the development of small and medium-sized enterprise in this area facilitate the infrastructure development of the districts.
