President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the governor of the Turkish province of Izmir, Mustafa Cahit Kirac.

Mustafa Cahit Kirac said he had come to Baku with a large delegation. He noted that the landscaping and improvement work under way in the capital of Azerbaijan had impressed members of the delegation very much. The governor said that Baku was becoming one of the most beautiful cities in the world under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan. Mustafa Cahit Kirac stressed that the event held in Izmir with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev was of great importance to his country, including Izmir.

Stressing that Baku and Izmir are sister cities, the President of Azerbaijan pointed to the good opportunities for a further development of ties. President Aliyev recalled his visit to Izmir with satisfaction and expressed hope that these ties would develop further after the visit by Izmir governor of Izmir Mustafa Cahit Kirac to Baku.
