Ilham Aliyev received the Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan at the end of his diplomatic mission

President Ilham Aliyev has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Azerbaijan, Zhang Yannian, at the end of his diplomatic mission.

Emphasizing that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China were developing successfully, the President expressed hope for a further strengthening of these relations in the future, expansion of active cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and other spheres. Praising the diplomatic activities of Ambassador Zhang Yannian in Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev wished him success in his future endeavors.

Ambassador Zhang Yannian mentioned that the relations between the two countries were developing in all areas in recent years under the leadership of the Chairman of the People's Republic of China and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Stressing that the two countries had established close relations at different levels, Ambassador Zhang Yannian pointed to the growing mutual political trust, traditional friendship and business cooperation between Azerbaijan and China. He noted the importance of mutual support between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China on important issues, collaboration in international and regional matters. The Chinese diplomat said his country considered Azerbaijan its true friend and partner. He pointed to the need for a long-term and sustainable expansion of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations in the interests of the two countries and peoples. Saying that next year would see the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan, Ambassador Zhang Yannian said his country was interested in strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation and friendly relations with Azerbaijan. The Chinese diplomat expressed his appreciation to the Government of Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for the excellent conditions created for his diplomatic activities in the country.
