Ilham Aliyev reviewed the military helicopters brought to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the military helicopters brought to Azerbaijan.

The head of state arrived at the airport to get acquainted with the military helicopters. The Chief of the State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops Lt-Gen Elchin Guliyev reported to the President of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev about the military helicopters. He noted that combat helicopters Mi-35m were considered one of the most advanced helicopters in the world and could carry out various combat missions. Such helicopters also have the capacity to fly at high altitudes.

It was indicated that the military helicopters are equipped with the most sophisticated weapons capable of disabling a target with a high degree of precision. The crew consists of a commanding pilot and the operator. In case of need, the landing operation may involve up to 10 people. The helicopters are equipped with unguided missile systems S-8 and S-13, double-barreled machine-gun GS-23 and guided missiles of “assault” and “attack” types. The helicopters are fitted with the latest avionics, which can be used in all weather conditions to observe and disable all targets within a radius of 360 degrees.
