Your creative and skillful continuation of the far-sighted policies of great leader Heydar Aliyev have made stable and consistent progress and renewal a reality. The socioeconomic development strategy meeting the requirements of the modern times is paying off on a daily basis. Azerbaijan is now one of the most dynamically developing countries in the world and the leader of the South Caucasus region.

Azerbaijan’s steady enrichment enables the country to cope even with the most challenging and complex tasks. Comprehensive state programs are implemented to strengthen the industrial and agricultural potential and facilitate the socioeconomic development of districts, measures are taken to improve the well-being of our people, salaries, benefits and pensions are increased and necessary work is done to facilitate progress of science and education, culture and arts, industry and sports.

Extensive reforms are under way to build a law-governed, democratic and secular state, create a civil society and establish a market economy in the country. Human rights and freedoms are secured and Azerbaijan’s authority among European nations is growing.

Your foreign policy based on scientific foundations enhances Azerbaijan’s influence on political developments in the world. Azerbaijan’s growing international authority was best evidenced by the country’s election as a nonpermanent member of the UN Security Council. The prudent steps you are taking to communicate Azerbaijan’s fair cause to the world are yielding positive results.

The principle of territorial integrity in relation to the most painful problem of the Azerbaijani people, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, is recognized as fundamental one by international organizations and foreign countries. It is beyond doubt that you will succeed in resolving this problem in a short period of time.

Dear and distinguished Mr. President!

Your policies built on the interests and demands of our people and your governance methods have earned you great respect and authority both in and outside Azerbaijan. The happy future of Azerbaijan is associated with the improvement and development strategy you are pursuing with determination.

In addition to the profound expertise and intellectual qualities, in-depth knowledge of politics, economics, arts, history and other spheres required for governing a country located in a very complex region of the world, you also genuinely love your motherland, are a sincere, simple and modest person who is sensitive to people’s concerns. Your exemplary human features also manifest themselves through your conduct as head of your family. Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and your children are actively involved in the public and political life of the country and do their utmost to contribute to the solution of issues of concern for our people.
