Ilham Aliyev received the outgoing Polish Ambassador

President Ilham Aliyev received outgoing Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Poland, Krzysztof Krajewski, with regards to completion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.

The President noted that Azerbaijan-Poland bilateral relations had developed rapidly in every field during Krajewski`s tenure. President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the role of late President Lech Kaczynski in development of bilateral relations. The President pointed out that dynamic and positive development of ties between the two countries is manifestation of attention that leaders of both states pay to bilateral relations. Having praised the role of ambassadors in development of bilateral relations, President Ilham Aliyev noted that Krajewski had done a lot to expand bilateral ties and taken an active part in many processes in Azerbaijan. Wishing success in his future activities to the ambassador, President Ilham Aliyev added that he had signed an order conferring “Dostlug” (Friendship) order to Krajewski for his special services in strengthening of cooperation and bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Poland and presented him the order.

Ambassador Krzysztof Krajewski said that he was honored to receive the “Dostlug” order. Recalling his first day in Baku, the diplomat stated that he was touched by Azerbaijan President`s high assessment of his diplomatic activity, and added that it was very important for him and his country. Expressing satisfaction with high level development of relations between the two states, the diplomat thanked President of Azerbaijan for personally supporting the embassy`s activity.
