On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own, I would to sincerely congratulate you and through you all the people of your country on the national holiday – the Day of Independence.

I do hope that the relations existing between Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.

On this auspicious day I would like to wish you good health and continued success in your activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Sri Lanka.
