President Ilham Aliyev has telephoned Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The head of state congratulated Vladimir Putin on a convincing victory in the presidential election and wished him success in presidential activities.

Vladimir Putin thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the congratulation and attention.

During the telephone conversation the sides expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in various spheres and voiced confidence that these ties would continue to strengthen.

President Ilham Aliyev invited Vladimir Putin to visit Azerbaijan at his convenience.
