President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by first deputy chairman of the Senate of Jordan, Abdur-Ra'uf Rawabdeh.
The first deputy chairman of the Senate of Jordan, Abdur-Ra'uf Rawabdeh, said he was very pleased to visit Azerbaijan and meet with President Ilham Aliyev. Stressing that the creative work the foundation of which was laid by great leader Heydar Aliyev was successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, Abdur-Ra'uf Rawabdeh said his country was closely following the economic development in Azerbaijan. He congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on the country’s election to the UN Security Council.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Jordan.
The head of state emphasized that the two countries cooperate well within the framework of international organizations.
Pointing to a high level of political relations, President Ilham Aliyev said there was a good potential for the expansion of cooperation in the economic sphere and in the area of inter-parliamentary contacts.
